Nephilim came from fallen angels producing children with humans and animals. They were therefore corrupted flesh and were wiped out in Noah's flood, they are described as evil spirits.

So in speaking to "dead relatives" through mediums, they are really speaking to evil spirits masquerading as our loved ones. Heed the bible and leave this stuff alone.
